چکیده
Whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) on the market are processed or sold only to take part in meat. The head, shell, and tail thrown away without any prior processing. Underutilized waste causes environmental problems. An alternative overcome this disturbance phenomenon is utilize shells containing chitin subsequently transformed into chitosan that can be applied various fields. Chitosan has poor solubility water but high permeability, so improve bioavailability by making solid dispersions. dispersion made solvent evaporation technique used PVP K-30 as carriers. result of was then molded tablets direct compression method. Hence were evaluated weight size uniformity, hardness, friability, disintegration time. formulation divided three groups, F1 (chitosan : = 1 dispersion), F2 3 F3 (pure chitosan). All formulas uniformity time fulfill requirements. hardness 4,275 kg best from F2. By statistic analytical give significant difference with sig. <0,05.

Purification and characterization of an intracellular lipase from pleopods of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei).
An intracellular lipase present in the whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei was detected in pleopods. The lipase from pleopods was purified and characterized by biochemical and kinetic parameters. Purified intracellular lipase has a molecular mass of 196kDa, the polypeptide is assembled by two monomers, 95.26 and 63.36kDa. The enzyme lacks glycosylation, and it has an isoelectric point of 5.0. ...

Multiple small-scale transcriptome studies have been undertaken for various members of the Penaeidae. Penaeid shrimp are important both as members of diverse ecosystems around the world and for their importance as commercial commodities. Of the many shrimps, the most important from this family is the Pacific whiteleg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei, as it is the primary shrimp used in worldwide aq...
متن کاملCarbohydrate Moieties and Cytoenzymatic Characterization of Hemocytes in Whiteleg Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei
Hemocytes represent one of the most important defense mechanisms against foreign material in Crustacea and are also involved in a variety of other physiological responses. Fluorescent lectin-binding assays and cytochemical reactions were used to identify specificity and distribution of carbohydrate moieties and presence of several hydrolytic enzymes, in hemocytes of whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus ...
متن کاملTranscriptomic responses of juvenile Pacific whiteleg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei, to hypoxia and hypercapnic hypoxia.
Estuarine crustaceans are often exposed to low dissolved O2 (hypoxia) accompanied by elevated CO2 (hypercapnia), which lowers water pH. Acclimatory responses to hypoxia have been widely characterized; responses to hypercapnia in combination with hypoxia (hypercapnic hypoxia) are less well known. Here we used oligonucleotide microarrays to characterize changes in global gene expression in the he...
